Norton Download Intelligence

Norton's Download Intelligence protects your computer against any potentially unsafe file that you may run or execute after you download it using a supported Web browser. By default, the Download Intelligence option is turned on. In this case, Download Intelligence notifies you about the reputation levels of any executable file that you download. The reputation details that Download Intelligence provides indicate whether the downloaded file is considered safe to install.

There may be times when you want to turn off Download Intelligence. For example, if you want to download a file that does not have a "reputation" or that Norton does not recognize, which may include the InspectFaster demo file. In this case, you must turn off Download Intelligence so that Norton AntiVirus lets you download the file and does not remove it from your computer.

You can use the Download Intelligence option to temporarily turn off Download Intelligence. Don't forget to turn it back on again after you have finished downloading the demo.
